Tesco Community Work

TENTERDEN INFANT SCHOOLSAY, “THANK YOU TESCO”.

Tenterden Infant School would like to thank Tesco for the recent completion of their community project in their school. Mrs McIntosh, deputy head teacher liaised with Darren Wheeler, Tesco project manager to organise the improvements in the school, including clearing out a classroom that can now be used and mending play equipment.

Mrs McIntosh says, “Tesco organised all our flowerbeds to be repaired so we are enjoying growing sweet peas. We are also growing runner beans that our cooks will use for our lunch. Tesco mended our broken bridge which all children now enjoy safely walking across.” “We like the new design because it is fun and it feels like we are walking over bubbling lava!” say Lucas and Harvey. “I crawl over crocodiles when I cross the bridge!” says Jazmine. The foundation children enjoy using the beds in their mud kitchen. Lia and Maya smile, “We are pleased we have non-slip paint on our wooden walkway because we can run and skip along it and we don’t fall off!”
