SEND support for post 16 year olds
The SEND Information, Advice and Guidance team are currently working together to ensure that Post-16 SEND students are able to get access to the wealth of knowledge and support services available to them when deciding what to do next as they transition into adult life. Following feedback gathered, including at our SEND Roadshows, we know that families are concerned as to what routes are available for their young people following secondary school, because of this we are working together to enable families to find the appropriate support and avenues.
Our first piece of work following this is all about finding the right information on the SEND Information Hub for our SEND young people. Our post 16 webpages contains helpful links to help families get the information they are looking for. It covers education, employment options and help with adult life. |
