This week in art we used beautiful fallen autumn leaves to create fabulous artwork. After making rubbings in sketchbooks of the leaves, the children made continuous line drawings of them too.The main activity was to make a large wax outline drawing and then use water based inks to wash over the colour. The children learnt that this technique is called wax resist.
