Year 6 - Art lesson taking inspriation from Henry Moore.
In our art lesson today we warmed up with a quick revision of‘perspective’ from last week. Then we moved on to look at drawings by Henry Moore. Taking inspiration from his contoured sketches we used charcoal, chalk and wax resist to turn humble potatoes and stones into drawings of ‘monumental sculptures’. As usual I was amazed by the outcome ..... fabulous work Year 6 !
Next time we will combine perspective and contoured drawings to recreate Henry Moore’s wartime underground artwork.
