EYFS - Settling In

What an exciting week we have had, the children have coped so well with the afternoon sessions and are becoming more independent at lunchtimes and are enjoying making new friends in the playground!

This week we have begun our Maths sessions and have focussed on recognising numerals 0-5 and counting objects with good 1:1 correspondence.
We have been using our listening skills to find the everyday sounds in our environment and playing listening games to identify different musical instruments.
On Wednesday we decided to pick the ripe apples from the apple tree in the school. We washed the apples, peeled and chopped them and made apple crumble, it was delicious! We discussed what happened when apples fall from the tree and what happens when apples rot and why these are not good to eat
