It has been Science Week at Tenterden Infant School. The theme this year was‘Journeys’. The children have explored the science behind floating/sinking and boats. The children's learning at home task was to design and build a small boat. Talking about materials used, looking at waterproof and non-waterproof materials.
We closed our week with a ‘sailing day’ to celebrate our achievements.
Today we took part in Red Nose Day
We have been doing some super measuring today.
Our spelling focus this week has been based around the sounds or (short) au (autumn) and aw (jaw). We have had lots of fun doing this today and we have been searching for words out in the school garden.
Some fabulous costumes to celebrate World Book Day
The school had the wonderful opportunity of taking part in a Chinese Dance Workshop.
This week in computing we have been looking at online safety. In particular trust and people who we can and cannot trust. The children were very good at this, but as parents it always helps to make it clear the adults they can trust when needing help.

Speak Out Stay Safe
The NSPCC came to school today and did an assembly for us.
Mathletics Club for Year 2 has started on Tuesdays after school.
We have been doing lots of lovely learning about India.
